I am in Wisconsin again this week. I am visiting a friend, Debra that lives in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. I arrived on Friday and will leave either Monday or Tuesday morning. I have known Debra for a little over 10 years and we are sister/friends, friends that are more like family than friends.
Yesterday we took a drive to Jefferson County, WI to visit Aztalan State Park. This Park is a National Historic Landmark. It holds an ancient Middle-Mississippian village that thrived between A.D. 1000 and 1300. The people who settled in Aztalan built large, flat top pyramidal mounds and a stockade around the village. This park is located along the Crawfish River.
This place holds such powerful energy. I could feel it the moment we started walking. Even though the information shared that during the Aztalan occupation there was ongoing conflict only one individual found buried at Aztalan showed evidence of a violent death. And still it is a place where human bone fragments are found at different locations across the site.
Debra had never been to this place but felt called for the two of us to travel there. I was an incredible healing place for me. We both laid on one of the burial grounds and let the ancestors heal what needed to be healed in us. The moment I laid down I felt like I was spinning, I felt light headed and stayed there until I felt grounded again, I had come to this place with so much tension in my left shoulder. When I left it had released most of it. It was healing energy. I am so grateful.
