One of my rituals is to pull a card each day for daily guidance. The deck that I am most liking these days is the Black Tarot: An Ancestral Awakening Deck and Guidebook.
I love this deck for several reasons. The 1st is because it was a gift. There is this shop in the Cincinnati area that I love to go to called Spirit Wind. I was in the shop about a year ago and got into a conversation with the owner about how hard it is becoming for them to get books these days. I had just come from a retreat and I had a couple of my Soul Growing books in my car. I went out to get them and gave them to her to offer in her shop. She offered to pay me for them and I said, “No thank you. Share them with a couple of young people.” And continued shopping.
When I was ready to check out my order included this new deck of cards, Black Tarot. I had never seen this deck before. She packed my order up and said, “Now I get to gift you. I just have one request, that you let me know what you think of this deck.”
I so love this deck. I love that it holds an intentional connection to the ancestors. I love the beauty of the cards and how they include cultural connections while still staying true to the Tarot. I love that they use Wands, Baskets (Cups), Knives (Swords), and Coins (Pentacles) as the suits. I love that they included cowrie shells, dance, animals and family. I love that there is a beauty and a grace in these cards.
The card that I pulled today is The World. It is one of the Major Arcana cards.

This card says that it's traits are: Results, revel, yes
Card Description includes: "A woman waters the world, knowing the importance of looking after the planet and honoring all living things." It goes on to say that certain chapters must be wrapped up and brought to an end.
I feel the importance of this card for me now. I feel myself being stretched in all ways. It feels challenging and beautiful all at the same time.
What rituals do you have to welcome you into your day?
